4 dead as light plane crashes in Paranaque

MANILA, Philippines – Four died when a light aircraft crashed into a school building in Parañaque City on Saturday, reports said.

Queen Air plane with body number RPC 824 crashed in Better Living Subdivision past 2 p.m., said Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines chief Ramon Gutierrez.

Its impact triggered a fire, which had reached fifth alarm as of posting time, television reports said.

Several shanties outside the subdivision were hit, Mayor Florencio Bernabe said on radio.
