UP, DLSU break into Emerging Economies University Rankings 2019

MANILA, Philippines — Two universities in the Philippines were included in the list of Emerging Economies University Rankings 2019 released by the Times Higher Education (THE) on Wednesday.

The University of the Philippines landed in the 87th place while De La Salle University was among the schools in the 251-300 bracket.

THE said China remains the “most-represented nation” in the list with the nation’s Tsinghua University taking the top spot and Peking University ranking second.

THE Emerging Economies University Rankings 2019 includes institutions in countries classified as advanced emerging, secondary emerging or frontier.

The rankings use 13 performance indicators such as “teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.” /ee
