DAVAO CITY—-A village official was shot dead by an unknown assailant in Sto. Tomas town, Davao del Norte on Wednesday.
Sketchy reports said Edgar Remorosa, councilor of Kimamon village of Sto. Tomas was gunned down at Feeder Road 2, Barangay Tibal-og at 11:50 a.m., according to Chief Insp. Jason Baria, Southern Mindanao police spokesperson.
The victim suffered a bullet wound in the head. Responding police recovered at the crime scene five empty shells from caliber .45 pistol, Baria said.
