MALALAG, DAVAO DEL SUR – A government employee on her way to work was killed when the tricycle she was riding collided with two other vehicles around 8:10 a.m., Tuesday.
Corazon Bajao, 55, was on her way to work at the municipal office when a motorcycle smashed into the rear part of the tricycle she was riding, which also pushed the tricycle forward to the speeding dump truck.
Town traffic investigator PO3 Jonifer Hinampas, said the three-vehicle collision happened at Purok Mangga, Barangay Poblacion here.
Hinampas said the tricycle and the dump truck were heading toward Malalag municipal hall when the motorcycle hit the rear part of the tricycle.
The driver of the motorcycle suffered minor injuries while Bajao, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to the Golingay General Hospital, where she died.
The tricycle driver, who also suffered multiple injuries, survived. The dump truck driver was unscathed but was placed under police custody. ORLANDO B. DINOY
