The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will continue to distribute fare matrices to jeepney drivers pending its review of the fare hike that it approved recently.

LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra said on Wednesday that the fare matrices would soon be posted online.

“As suggested by the committee on transport, we’ll make available the matrix on the website,” Delgra said in a press briefing.

According to some reports, the new fare martix costs P610, but Delgra clarified that it only costs P570.

Delgra also said that the board decided to set a hearing within the month to discuss the petition filed by a commuter’s group to reverse its decision in permanently implementing a P2 hike on minimum fare for jeepneys.

“The board decide to accept it and set it for hearing this month, we are yet to set the date insofar as the hearing is concerned,” he said.

On Tuesday, the United Filipino Consumers and Commuters filed a petition before the LTFRB to retract its decision due to the continuous decrease of oil prices. /atm
