Tabal pads win streak

SOUTHWESTERN University’s (SWU) ace runner Mary Joy Tabal continued her winning ways by topping the 15-kilometer division of the 2nd Run For Green Life 2011 starting and ending at the University of Cebu (UC) Banilad campus.

Sharing the highlight with Tabal was Mendel Lopez, who won in the men’s side of the 15k race.

Lopez clocked 52:47:66 while Tabal’s teammate Ian Bernido finished second with a time of 55:47:26, barely escaping  Joselito Dugos, who clocked 55:47:89 for third place.

Tabal clocked 1:02:00 for first place in the women’s side. Cristy Tutor was four minutes behind Tabal while University of Southern Philippines-Foundation’s (USP-F) Joeyry Lee placed third place (1:07:11).

Jess Gonzaga lorded the 6k men’s division while Mary Grace Delos Santos emerged on top in the 6k women’s side./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
