Surf along the Florida Panhandle got progressively rougher during the day on Tuesday, Oct. 9, as Hurricane Michael made its way across the Gulf of Mexico toward a Wednesday landfall.

This can be seen in a video uploaded by Timothy Jehring via Instagram yesterday.

The storm’s top sustained winds were 110mph early Tuesday afternoon, and forecasters said more strengthening was expected, reaching Category 3 before landfall. JB
