4 drug suspects nabbed in Lucena

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday announced the apprehension of a colorum operator, who also happened to be a relative of Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr.

LUCENA CITY – Police anti-illegal drugs operatives collared four suspected drug pushers in several buy-bust operations in different parts of the city on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Arrested were Alejandro Morales, Mark Ranuba, Paolo Danilo San Buenaventura, and Aczel Bautista Hilario, said a report from Supt. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief.

The suspects yielded several sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) weighing a total of 8.99 grams worth P44,950.

The police and the City Antidrug Abuse Council have also been conducting a sustained information campaign in different barangays to appeal to drug users and pushers to surrender and reform. DELFIN T. MALLARI JR.
