President Rodrigo Duterte bestowed on five wounded soldiers the Order of Lapu-Lapu during his visit to a military hospital in Zamboanga City.
The President went to Camp Navarro General Hospital on Thursday and checked on the conditions of the soldiers, who were wounded in separate clashes in Patikul, Sulu.
Those given the award were Staff Sgt. Krisnan Natividad, Sgt. Yahcob Sarian, Pvt. Eugene Gonzales, Pfc. Richard Aquino and Cpl. Jolly Bert Balmore. —Julie M. Aurelio
