Duterte appoints DSWD, NYC execs

President Duterte has named a new assistant secretary and two directors of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Glenda Relova, a project development officer, was named assistant secretary, replacing Aleli Bawagan, who resigned this year.

Nicomedes Suller and Rhodora Alday were named directors of the Administrative Service and the Department Legislative Liaison Office of the DSWD, respectively.

Meanwhile, Julius Gutierrez, who heads the National Youth Commission (NYC) in Davao, was appointed the agency’s executive director.

The President also promoted police Senior Supt. Jose Carumba to the next higher rank of chief superintendent. —JULIE M. AURELIO
