President Rodrigo Duterte will meet with officials of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) on Friday in Davao City.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed this to INQUIRER.net.
“Later in Davao,” he said in a text message when asked about the said meeting.
Mayors have earlier sought a meeting with the President following the consecutive killings of two mayors in Batangas and Nueva Ecija.
Maria Fe Brondial, LMP national president, also said that the country’s mayors wanted to talk with the President about his list of so-called narco-politicians. /muf
