UP alumni schedule election for governing board

The University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) is holding an election for its board of directors until Aug. 3.

The poll, which started on June 25, will select members of the UPAA board who will serve a three-year term from 2018 to 2021.

Votes may be cast at the UPAA office at Ang Bahay ng Alumni, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, or sent to the office via registered mail.

Votes may also be cast through duly authorized proxies. Canvassing will be on Aug. 4.

Qualified to vote are regular members who have paid their P300 membership dues annually, those who have paid for life membership of P2,000, or honorary members duly recognized by UPAA.

Retired Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Josue N. Bellosillo chairs the UPAA commission on elections with lawyer Rita Linda V. Jimeno and Angelica D. Abad as members.
