Pasay cops seize shabu from student flagged down for not wearing helmet

SAN PEDRO CITY —The Cavite police on Sunday recovered six kilos of marijuana during a buy-bust operation in Tanza town.

Supt. Chito Macaspac, spokesperson of the Cavite police, said two persons were arrested —James Wanson and Timothy Yag-ao. Wanson was in the Tanza police’s watchlist for illegal drug pushers.

Macaspac said the two were arrested after selling a kilo of dried marijuana leaves worth P20,000 to an undercover cop belonging to the police drug enforcement team at around 10:30 a.m. in Barangay (village) Sahud-ulan.

During the search, Wanson yielded five more kilos of marijuana bricks allegedly sourced from Kalinga and for distribution in Cavite, police said. /ee
