According to the latest Road Crash Statistics Report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, there were 28,268 road accidents in the National Capital Region from January to April this year. Of this figure, 104 incidents resulted in deaths, 4,288 caused nonfatal injuries, while 23,876 resulted in damage to property. —Marielle Medina
