Heavy rain, strong winds expected over Laguna, Batangas, nearby areas

The state weather bureau on Monday said heavy rain with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over Laguna, Rizal, and other parts of the country.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said heavy rain and strong winds are also being experienced in Quezon (Infanta, Real, Gen. Nakar) and Batangas (Lobo, Mabini).

Pagasa said moderate to heavy rain with lightning and strong winds are also prevailing over Marinduque, Romblon, and parts of Oriental Mindoro, Camarines Norte.

The weather bureau advises the public  to take precaution against flash floods and landslides. /vvp
