The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has advised motorists that some roads in Quezon City and Manila will undergo repairs starting on Friday.

In an advisory, motorists were urged to stay away from the following areas from 11 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday: Arayat Street Service Road as well as the third lane from Francesca Tower to Scout Borromeo, both on the southbound lane of Edsa-Quezon City;  second lane near North Avenue Metro Rail Transit 3 station on the southbound lane of Edsa-Quezon City; and second lane (northbound) of Batasan Road, Commonwealth Avenue, up to Kalinisan Street, also in Quezon City.

In Manila, motorists were advised to avoid A.H. Lacson Avenue near España Boulevard.

The MMDA also advised drivers to watch for potholes which could cause road accidents. These include those on Edsa-Ayala and Guadalupe in Makati City, Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City and Cubao in Quezon City.—KRIXIA SUBINGSUBING
